Mediation
AI Settlement Generator
The AI Settlement Generator is a suite of nine AI tools available to mediators on the Professional plan and above. The tools cover the full range of settlement work: analyzing party priorities, drafting complete agreements, evaluating whether a proposed amount is adequate, and generating individual agreement sections such as payment terms, confidentiality clauses, and release of claims. All AI results are cached on the case record and can be regenerated at any time.

Access requirements
All mediation AI tools require the Professional plan or above. Within a case, access is limited to the assigned mediator, case managers (draft-agreement tool only), and tenant admins. Clients and viewers cannot access these tools.
Priority Analysis is rate-limited to 5 generations per case per hour. Priority Analysis also requires at least one document or chat message to exist on the case before it can run.
Mediation AI tools reference
| Tool | What you provide | Output | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Priority Analysis | Optional mediator notes (up to 10,000 chars); optional force_refresh | AI analysis of each party's stated and inferred priorities, plus suggested negotiation strategy | Reads all case documents and chat messages and surfaces what each side actually wants, so the mediator can plan sessions more effectively. |
| Draft Agreement | Template type (standard / custom / general); language (en-US / es-ES); optional settlement amount, payment terms, non-monetary terms, additional context | Draft settlement agreement text | Generates a ready-to-review settlement agreement draft. If a dollar amount is included, produces a structured agreement with payment schedule language. |
| Settlement Adequacy | Proposed settlement amount (required); optional case strengths, weaknesses, comparable cases | AI assessment of whether the proposed amount is fair given the case facts | Analyzes a proposed settlement figure against case strengths, weaknesses, and context to help the mediator evaluate whether the offer is reasonable. |
| Mediator Summary | Optional key issues and resolution summary; language | Professional summary document suitable for the case file | Generates a polished, case-file-ready summary of the entire mediation process, including key issues and how they were resolved. |
| Generate Preamble | Case context from the case record | AI-generated agreement preamble section | Produces the opening recitals section of a settlement agreement. |
| Generate Payment Terms | Case context and any settlement amount on the record | AI-generated payment terms section | Produces structured payment schedule language for inclusion in a settlement agreement. |
| Generate Confidentiality Clause | Case context from the case record | AI-generated confidentiality clause | Produces a confidentiality and non-disclosure clause appropriate to the dispute type. |
| Generate Release of Claims | Case context from the case record | AI-generated release of claims section | Produces the mutual release language that discharges both parties from further claims arising from the dispute. |
| Generate Employment Terms | Case context from the case record | AI-generated employment-specific settlement terms | Produces employment-specific settlement provisions (severance, non-disparagement, reinstatement, etc.) when the dispute involves an employment relationship. |
Regenerating and clearing results
All AI results are cached on the case record. To regenerate a result with the latest case data, pass force_refresh: true when calling the tool. To clear a stored result from the case record, use the Delete action for that tool. Clearing a result does not affect the case itself — only the cached AI output is removed.
Language support
Draft Agreement, Settlement Adequacy, and Mediator Summary support output in English (en-US) and Spanish (es-ES). The language parameter defaults toen-US if not specified.
